Easy Now...

I guess this explains why it has suddenly become more difficult to find bootleg movies in Kiev. Ukraine has decided to start enforcing copyright law, to help out their WTO bid. Of course, the movies aren't impossible to find, I was still able to pick some up bootleg wares at Petrovka recently, so I guess the enforcement is limited to pirates visiable to the average foreigner walking around town. But all the guys that used to sell stuff downtown on Kreshatik and Tolstovo Ploshad have packed up and moved on to greener pastures. I just hope they don't shut down Petrovka anytime soon. Man that would suck, it's almost impossible to find English language entertainment over here. Everything not Slavic on TV is dubbed, not subtitled, and there's about 1 English language movie per week that is shown in theaters...and that's just started up recently.
