In a recent session of language tutoring, I learned that the Russian word for marriage is Брак (Brak, for you non-Cyrillic types). To paraphrase Gregg Easterbrook, I have the feeling that this is the kind of hidden indicator that is essential to an insider's understanding of marriage, unfortunately I have no idea what it means.
